The Evo is controlled by an electronic integrated circuit with a sensor in the warmer and two diodes indicating connection to the electric network and switch to heating and potentiometer by which you can smoothly regulate the temperature from 40 to 80 degrees. Hysteresis is just one degree.
To conduct heat, high quality wires that have a core consisting of several individual solid wires, these are more resistant to bending than e.x Chinese warmers, which use one fragile wire insulated by glass fiber.
The first layer is the contact substance, which is able to withstand high temperatures. The next layer is a special material that evenly disperses heat over the entire surface and also can reflect the temperature that runs of tires. The use of this high tech insulation layer allows Tyrex to have a thinner warmer without sacrificing performance. This is useful, if you have little space between fender and tire. Last is the insulating exterior fabric layer, this acts as a barrier resistant against letting cold air or water change the property’s of the tyre warming process, which can be decorate with embroidery or iron-on transfers.
A typical element for Tyrex is the side stretch belt that keeps warmer taut and by which also heats the side of the tire. The upper cover is resistant to oil, oil products and cooling liquid and can be cleaned with benzine or brake cleaner. Each electronic control unit (Evo, X-pro) is calibrated separately. Every single unit has undergone several cycles and adjustment in special calibration furnace, before being allowed to leave the factory.
